When you're sure your computer is running problem free and you have set a Restore Point for it you may want to clean up old Restore Points which can free up a lot of hard drive space. Using the following procedure will delete all but the most recent Restore Point freeing potentially hundreds of Megabytes.
1. Go into the Start Menu and All Programs
2. Go to Accessories
3. Go to System Tools
4. Left click on Disk Cleanup
5. Windows will run a quick scan of your hard drive and the Disk Cleanup Window will open
6. Click the More Options tab
7. In the System Restore frame click the Clean up button.
8. All but the newest Restore Point will be deleted.
9. Click OK and it will clean up the rest of the unneeded files.
